Hot 92 General Contest Rules
Official Promotional Rules

A complete copy of these rules can be obtained at the offices of Hot 92 Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc., 2300Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110 during normal business hours Monday through Friday or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.

1. No purchase is necessary.
2. You must be 16 years or older to participate in this contest. For grand prize winners, all travelers under the age of 18 years old,  must be accompanied by a parent of legal guardian.
3. All contests are open to the general public except for employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of Hot 92, Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc., participating sponsors, their immediate families, and household members
4. An individual may win an on-going contest only once per six-month period unless otherwise specifically stated.  An individual may win other seasonal or one-time contests only once for the duration of the contest.
5. Listeners can register for the contest by calling 1-866-MYHOT92 and being the caller to satisfy the specified requirements. 
6. Winners will be selected by depending on the specific contest.  In a simple Number caller giveaway, the winning caller automatically wins the prize specified.  Other contests will have rules that are specified on the air prior to the giveaway.
7. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by random drawing or another means deemed appropriate by the station.  The person conducting the contest will determine all winners, and their decision shall be final.
8. All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner.  All those who win a prize / prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their winnings.
9. All prizes are awarded “as is.”   Gifts are nontransferable and cannot be exchanged.
10. The station shall not be responsible for the failure of participating sponsors to deliver prizes as promised.
11. All entrants and winners agree that the station, Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc., and their affiliates, shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property insured by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.
12. All prizes must be claimed in person at the station during regular business hours and within ten business days of winning, excluding holidays.  After such time, ownership of said prize reverts back to the station to be disposed of at their discretion.  The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize.
13. Proper identification must be presented to claim prize.  Winners will be asked to fill out a Winner’s Affidavit and Release.
14. All entry blanks, forms devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of the station to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of the station.
15. All entrants and winners agree that the station may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason the station deems necessary without compensation.  All entrants further agree to hold the station blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.
16. The station reserves the right to end an contest at any time without any advanced notice to the public
17. The station reserves the right to limit the number of times an individual may enter a contest or drawing.
18. The station reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.
19. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for the station to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.

Cumulus Broadcasting, LLC, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, will conduct the Contest substantially as described in these rules, and by participating, each participant agrees as follows:

The Company may conduct the Contest concurrently and simultaneously on several participating radio stations owned and not owned by the Company, and in various States, and the Company may add or remove participating stations or change call letters of any participating station at any time during the Contest as announced on the affected station. Participating stations are listed above.

1. Description of Contest/Participation.

2. Prize(s). The prize(s) that may be awarded to the eligible winner(s) are: Prizes for On-line Register to Win Contests vary and will be specified in the specific on-line contest text or logo. Prize value varies. Prizes are not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. All prizes must be redeemed within 30 days of the date the winner is notified. If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified, the Company reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion. The Company is not acting as the manufacturer or distributor of any prize awarded. The Company makes no warranties with respect to any prize. With respect to any claims for cancelled, postponed, or rained out concert, sporting event or show ticket prizes, winner should look to the provider or others in the chain of production and distribution but excluding the Station and the Company.

3. Eligibility and Limitations. Participants and winner(s) must be U.S. residents must be 18 years old or older and reside in the Station’s Total Survey Area (TSA), unless otherwise specifically announced. A parent or guardian of any participant who is a minor must sign a release on behalf of the minor to be eligible to receive a prize, but the Company reserves the right to refuse to award a prize to or on behalf of any minor. Only one (1) entry per person. Increasing the number of times you register will not increase your odds of winning in any way. Only one (1) prize per household for the Contest. Only one (1) prize per household from any of the Company’s stations within any thirty (30) day period. Employees of the Company, the Contest’s participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, employees of other radio or television stations, and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.

4. Telephone and Delivery Disclaimer. For all contests the Company disclaims all liability for any delays, misdelivery, loss, or failure in the delivery of any item sent by mail, courier, express, electronic transmission, or other delivery method. The Company is not responsible for mechanical, technical, electronic, communications, telephone, computer, hardware or software errors, malfunctions or failures of any kind, including: failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed transmission of online entries, traffic congestion on telephone lines, the Internet or at any website or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit an online entrant's ability to participate in the Contest, and any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any information necessary to participate in the Contest. All information on registration forms must be accurate and correct. The Company is not responsible for entries with incorrect information such as telephone numbers that may hinder the process of contacting the winner.

5. Publicity; Use of Personal Information. By participating, where allowed by law, all participants and winner(s) grant the Company exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this and other contests and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. By participating in the Contest, where allowed by law, participants agree that the Company may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the Contest to participation third parties for purposes of prize fullfillment.

6. Release. By participating in the Contest, each participant and winner waives any and all claims of liability against the Company, its employees and agents, the Contest’s sponsors and their respective employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the Contest, or from the use of any prize. In order to receive a prize, participants must sign an official waiver form provided by the Company.

7. Taxes. Any valuation of the prize(s) stated above is based on available information provided to the Company, and the value of any prize awarded to a winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. Each winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes related to the prize(s) and paying any expenses associated with any prize which are not specifically provided for in the official rules. Each winner must provide the Company with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded. Any person winning over $600 in prizes from the Company will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.

8. Conduct and Decisions. By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Company personnel. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The Company will interpret these rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest and the Company’s decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of the Company, the Company reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as the Company deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by the Company and are final. The Company may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITES, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

9. Miscellaneous. Each winner must submit proof of eligibility and sign the Company’s release form to claim the prize. The Company may substitute prizes, amend the rules or discontinue the Contest at any time as announced on the Station(s). The Company disclaims any responsibility to notify participants of any aspect related to the conduct of the Contest. For a copy of the rules, or where required by law, a list of winners, visit the business office of the Station during normal business hours or mail a written request with a stamped, self-addressed return envelope to the Station’s address, listed above. All entries become the property of the Company and will not be returned. To be removed from our direct mail, email or fax lists, visit the main office of the Station during regular business hours, or send a self addressed stamped envelope with contest name to Cumulus Media Harrisburg Contests, 2300 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

10. Compliance with Law. The conduct of the Contest is governed by the applicable laws of the Unites States of America, which take precedence over any rule to the contrary herein. Station(s) shall follow the applicable laws for conducting contests, including notice to the state attorney general or consumer affairs office, posting of a prize bond, furnishing lists of winners, running specific on-air disclaimers, providing specific written information about the Contest, etc. as required by local and state law.

The HOT 92 “Student of the Week”
Official Rules & How to Play
October 6, 2008 through May 22, 2009

A complete copy of these rules can be obtained at the offices of WWKL-FM/HOT 92, 2300 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA, 17110 during normal business hours of Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the above address.

1. All persons must be at least eighteen (18) years old by June 1, 2009 to be eligible to win.

2. No purchase is necessary. Purchase does not increase the odds of winning

3. The "HOT 92 Student of the Week" program is open anyone who resides in or attends school in Cumberland, Dauphin, York, Lebanon, Lancaster or Perry Counties except for employees and interns, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates of WWKL-FM/HOT 92, Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, participating sponsors, their immediate families, household members and all other radio industry employees.

4. To participate in this contest, persons must nominate a student via e-mail or by postal mail by completing an Official Nomination Entry Form available online at www.hot92.com. Official Nomination Entry Forms can also be picked up at HOT 92 during normal business hours at the address listed above. Incomplete nomination entry forms will not be accepted. HOT 92 is not responsible for nomination entry forms not received due to technical difficulties with the Internet or mail services.

5. Individuals may nominate or be nominated as often as desired. Multiple nominations do not increase the odds of winning. Nominations may be made by another person or self-nominated.

6. An individual may only be selected once as the "HOT 92 Student of the Week" during the contest window dates.

7. The contest will run October 6, 2008, through May 22, 2009. A "HOT 92 Student of the Week" will be selected and announced each Monday afternoon during the contest window dates beginning Monday, October 6, 2008. There will be no more than thirty-six (36) qualified "HOT 92 Student of the Week" winners selected between Monday, October 6, 2008 and Friday, May 22, 2009.

8. Each qualified winner will receive a HOT 92 prize pack including a T-Shirt, a HOT 92 Compact Disc, and a "Student of the Week" Certificate. The "HOT 92 Student of the Year" Grand Prize Winner will be selected by random drawing on Friday, May 29, 2008, from all qualified weekly winners and will receive up to $5,000 in educational related expenses reimbursed by HOT 92. If claimed by July 6, 2009, the $5,000 Grand Prize can only be used by the grand prize winner by June 8, 2010. The Grand Prize must be used only for educational related expenses, including but not limited to, tuition, textbooks and school supplies, room and board, and existing students loan payments. Reimbursements will be made directly to the Grand Prize Winner from HOT 92 within sixty (60) days of Grand Prize Winner providing HOT 92 with written documentation to support the educational expenses, including receipts which HOT 92 may accept or reject at our sole discretion. Acceptance of receipts for educational reimbursement will not be unreasonably withheld provided that the expense is related to educational costs.

9. Grand Prize Winner can present their receipts in person or mail them via First Class Mail, Registered or Certified Mail to HOT 92 Student of the Year, General Manager, HOT 92, 2300 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

10. If the Grand Prize winner cannot be contacted using the information provided in the registration form by July 6, 2009, their prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be chosen by random drawing. This process will be repeated with a thirty (30) day window for each new winner until a winner is contacted and the prize is accepted.

11. Each weekly winner will be selected by and in the sole discretion of a HOT 92 representative. Entries will be judged based largely on the essay portion of the nomination entry form. The "HOT 92 Student of the Week" will be primarily determined on merit by the answer to "Why the student deserves to be recognized as the HOT 92 Student of the Week based on their academic accomplishments and community involvement?" Essays should be approximately 200 words in length. The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by a random drawing from all qualified eligible finalists.

12. Cumulus Broadcasting LLC reserves the right to change any of this promotion and or the promotional elements.

13. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by random drawing or another means deemed appropriate by Cumulus Broadcasting LLC. The Cumulus Broadcasting LLC representative conducting the contest will determine all winners; their decisions and interpretations of these rules shall be final.

All entrants and winners agree that HOT 92, Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their parents, subsidiaries, directors, officers, affiliates, employees and sponsors shall have no liability and shall be held blameless for any injury, misfortune, or damage to either persons or property caused by or in connection with winner by entering, participating in, winning, or losing any contest by use or non-use of any prize received.

18. All entry blanks, forms, devices and materials, as well as all the information contained on or within, gathered during the course of entry, shall become the sole property of Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their affiliates and sponsors to be used, disposed of or destroyed at the discretion of Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their affiliates and sponsors.

19. All winners agree that Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their affiliates and sponsors may broadcast or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including their voice, recorded or live, for any reason Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their affiliates and sponsors deems necessary without compensation. All winners will be further required to hold Cumulus Broadcasting LLC, their affiliates and sponsors, blameless and without liability for such publication, broadcast or use.

20. All qualifying weekly winners will be required, as a condition of receiving any prize hereunder, to sign a Winner's Release Form and a copy of these official rules releasing Cumulus Broadcasting LLC from all liability in connection with this contest or any prize awarded.

21.HOT 92 reserves the right to end a contest at any time upon advanced notice to the public.

22. HOT 92 reserves the right to require contestants to be present at drawings in order to win their prize.

23. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or cheating shall be grounds for HOT 92 to disqualify that individual from participating in all current and future contests and events at the sole discretion of the station, as well as forfeiture of any prize or prizes won by fraudulent means.

24. A winners list may be obtained after July 31, 2009 by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the following address:
