Q. How much money do you make? A. I like to say this..."Your folks make so much money for working a 9 hour day...I work half that time....THINK ABOUT IT! jk...Radio can have it’s benefits as well as it’s...I’ll stop there. None the less...I LOVE MY JOB!
Q. Whats your REAL NAME? A. Technically I’ve answered this part way on the air live once...won’t give it away again, but those who KNOW ME...know. Those who don’t, there is a well-known local DJ with the same name as my legal one.
Q. How old are you? A. Do the math...my bday is 9-11...1979. I said math, not throw me a pity party...9-11 blah blah blah...It’s been my day longer!!!
Q. Where do you live? A. The hill. No not really. Lil’ place in Mechanicsburg that my 2 dogs, 3 cats, and hopefully sometime soon...3rd dog (hehe) call home.
Q. How can I get a job in radio? A. I just tell people my story...get a note pad...and 50 pages!! I did college radio as a start, then make a call to a radio DJ who has a salary and just be cool with them (no stalking). Get better at your craft by doing what they do on the radio ...BUT!!! Make it your own. Luck and talent WILL take you a long way.
Q. How can I get my song on the radio. A. Not really my dept., but make a demo...HAVE ACTUAL TALENT, and send it to your favorite radio stations music director (this is where you say...THAT’S HOT92.)
Q. Have you ever met anyone famous? A. Perks in radio are great! I have met a few people in the entertainment industry. Some are huge some are not. Fuel, Pat McGee, AJA, Eve 6, Obie Trice, Bone Crusher, Stacy Keibler, Natalie...if I missed anyone...they probably don‘t even know it. My last claim to fame is....Marc Blucas.
Q. Who the heck is Marc Blucas?? A. He was the Basketball phenom who went to my HS in Girard PA and Led our HS to two state championships in the late 80’s early 90’s...so?? He then went onto play at Wake Forest with some of the NBA’s future stars...so? He is now a movie star!! Eddie, Pleasantville, Buffy The Vampire Slayer (on the WB,) Summer Catch, The Sixties, First Daughter...that’s all I can think of, but if I called him up, and told him who I was he would know me since his dad was my HS’s superintendent and his dad and mine were good friends. I also have a pic of him and me from when he played bball for my HS and I was in like..3rd grade?
